Capitec Connect has rapidly established itself as the dominant force in South Africa’s Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) sector. According to the Africa Analysis 2026 South Africa MVNO Market Outlook Report , the domestic market reached 4.4 million active SIMs by the close of 2025. Capitec Connect currently accounts for an estimated 41% of this total, commanding a subscriber base between 1.5 million and 1.9 million users.
