Reddit to shut RSS feeds, close public API as AI bots scrape its data

Reddit will stop supporting Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds on November 13 and will close public access to its application programming interface (API) by March 2027. Researchers, social listening tools and AI assistants that pull Reddit data through the API will need commercial deals with the platform after that. The company announced the changes on September 30 in posts on r/modnews and r/redditdev .
