Mastercard Partners With Mojaloop, AfricaNenda on Payments

Mastercard has partnered with the Mojaloop Foundation and AfricaNenda Foundation to strengthen instant payment infrastructure across Africa, with a focus on fraud prevention, consumer protection and interoperability. The collaborations come as account-to-account payments expand across the continent. Mastercard said Africa now has 36 live instant payment systems across 31 countries, processing more than 64 billion transactions worth nearly $2 trillion in 2024.
