The first restriction on cartoonist Satish Acharya’s Instagram account this year was on February 28, 2026. The post was a cartoon from June 2025 on new NCERT textbooks. The notice said: “Because of a legal request we have to restrict access to your photo.” By September 28, when Instagram withheld the whole account in India, at least eight more cartoons had been restricted.
