DeepSeek Partners With Huawei to Reduce Reliance on Nvidia AI Chips

Chinese AI company DeepSeek is expanding its collaboration with Huawei by open-sourcing a broad set of software tools built for Huawei’s Ascend AI chips. The move gives DeepSeek a more complete technology path outside Nvidia’s ecosystem as Chinese companies work to develop alternatives across both AI hardware and software. DeepSeek announced the release on September 30, covering its TileLang programming language, compute libraries and distributed communication tools.
