TRAI August 2026 data: Broadband connections cross 1.10 billion, Jio and Airtel remain top two providers

India’s broadband base rose to 1,101.21 million connections at the end of August 2026, up 6.73 million from July , according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) subscription data for August 2026 . Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel remained the two largest broadband providers during the month. Total broadband subscriptions rose from 1.094 billion in July to 1.101 billion in August , a monthly increase of 0.61% , according to TRAI’s data.
