Biossil hits unicorn status with new OpenAI-led financing

Biossil has become the latest Canadian unicorn after a major financing round led by OpenAI. The news: The Toronto-based biotech firm, which buys failed drug projects and gives them another chance with the help of AI, has raised $153 million USD ($216 million CAD) at a $1 billion USD valuation. The Globe and Mail first reported the news Monday morning, and Biossil co-founder and CEO Anthony Mouchantaf confirmed the details to BetaKit in an email.
