First look: Google Messages could soon get a faster way to search within chats

TL;DR Google is working on a new feature to make it easier to search within chats in Google Messages. It could show a floating search icon when a user scrolls up in a chat, letting them quickly open the search interface. The feature isn’t available yet, but hopefully Google will roll it out sooner rather than later.
