Montage Technology mass-produces fifth-generation DDR5 RCD chip at 8,000 MT/s

Montage Technology has begun mass production of its fifth-generation DDR5 Registering Clock Driver chip, or RCD05, for high-performance RDIMM memory modules used in data centers and AI servers. The chip complies with the JEDEC DDR5 RCD05 specification and supports data transfer rates of up to 8,000 MT/s, about 11% higher than the previous-generation RCD04. It also integrates a low-jitter PLL, CTLE equalization and ZQ calibration.
