Sofinnova Partners closes oversubscribed €82M Sofinnova MD Start IV fund

European life sciences venture capital firm Sofinnova Partners has closed its fourth medtech fund, Sofinnova MD Start IV, at €82 million. The oversubscribed fund will expand Sofinnova’s medtech company-creation strategy across Europe and the US, providing additional capacity to launch new ventures and support them through key stages of development. Sofinnova plans to launch six to eight medtech companies through the fund over the next five years.
