Gemini’s next desktop upgrade could let it handle tasks across your apps

TL;DR Google is reportedly testing a new Tasks mode in the Gemini desktop app for more hands-off, multi-step work. New Computer Use settings could let users control which desktop apps Gemini can and cannot operate. Tasks also includes Gemini Live, which may let users talk to Gemini while it works across their computer.
