Geely Unveils Sub-5-Minute EV Charging in China’s Battery Race

Geely is pushing further into China’s increasingly competitive electric vehicle market with a new charging system that can take a battery from 10% to 70% in just four minutes and 30 seconds, placing the automaker directly against BYD and other companies racing to reduce EV charging times. The company said its latest system can charge from 10% to 97% in eight minutes and 40 seconds, bringing charging times closer to the experience of refuelling a conventional petrol vehicle.
