Zoho’s Sridhar Vembu calls Big Tech’s push to slow AI development ‘cynical’

Sridhar Vembu, Chief Scientist and Co-founder of Zoho , said he views calls by global technology companies for a slowdown in AI development with “cynicism”. "Big companies have the freedom to slow down but they cannot ask the entire industry to slow down. I view it cynically," said Vembu, adding that these companies want others to slow down so they can move faster and grow.
