Discord changes its age verification approach after backlash. What must users prove now?

Discord will place every user in an age group by reading account signals such as how long the account has existed and which servers it belongs to. More than 90% of users will never confirm their age , the company said on September 22. It named its age-assurance vendors the same day, eight months after it delayed a rollout that would have required a face scan or an identity document.
