‘AI is the new UI’: Zoho’s Sridhar Vembu outlines vision for ‘ubiquitous intelligence’

“AI is the new UI,” said Sridhar Vembu, Chief Scientist and Co-founder of Zoho, referring to what he calls “ubiquitous intelligence”. Clarifying that UI in this context does not mean user interface, Vembu described “ubiquitous Intelligence” as the next phase of AI, where intelligence is present across systems while safeguards are built in. He was speaking at a press conference in Chennai on the sidelines of Zoho’s annual Zoholics event.
