Google will now directly report child sexual abuse content to Indian authorities

Google has agreed to report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) directly to Indian authorities , according to Reuters , marking a shift in how such cases are reported in India. The company has proposed sharing relevant reports with Indian law enforcement instead of relying solely on the existing reporting route. Under that system, platforms report suspected child sexual exploitation to the US-based non-profit National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) .
