Ghana Clears MTN, Telecel and Goal Telecom for Next Stage of 5G Spectrum Licensing

Ghana’s National Communications Authority (NCA) has completed the qualification stage of the 5G spectrum licensing process, clearing three applicants to proceed to the next phase of the selection process. In a press release dated September 9, 2026, the NCA said it received four applications for spectrum licences in the 700 MHz, 2.3 GHz and 3 GHz bands. The submission deadline was 5:00 p.m.
