Doubao Phone Assistant launches consumer version with beta phone controls

ByteDance’s Doubao Phone Assistant has launched its consumer version , adding screen-based Q&A, local search across photos, messages and notes, and support for voice activation and a dedicated AI key. The product is also opening its “operate phone” feature in beta. Its SAEP protocol lets third-party apps declare boundaries for AI-driven screen automation, while Doubao says it will respect apps that reject such operations.
